This course, held in Stockholm, will give you a clear insight of all the different stages of hat making, where you will gain knowledge about which tools to use and how. Along with traditional hat-making you will also learn about various hat styles and shapes, and how to take care of your hat for it to last for a lifetime.

In our weekend hat course, you will design your own hat over 2 days housed at Re:DECO Linnégatan 4 Stockholm. Please choose your prefered time slot.
The course is split into two days. On day 1 you get an introduction to hats and the anatomy of the hat, as well as a closer look at hat-making techniques. When you've chosen the material and color you will steam and block your hat to the right size on a wooden block, where the drying process will be going on overnight. On day 2, we remove your hat from the block, sew in a leather sweatband, give your preferred shape to the crown and brim, and finally, we add details and finish your hat to perfection.

TIME SLOT 1 – DAY 1: 9 AM - 12 PM (3 hours) – DAY 2: 9 AM - 12 PM (3 hours)
TIME SLOT 2 – DAY 1: 4 PM - 7 PM (3 hours) – DAY 2: 4 AM - 7 PM (3 hours)
You can prepare yourself by having some sort of idea of what hat style you want make, anything from color, details, style and shape. Bring images or even your own details you might want to add. We guide you all the way!
